Weak discernibility in quantum mechanics

Resumen


According to a recent approach originated with Saunders, quantum entities are objects in a thin sense of the word: they are discernible by weakly discerning relations, i.e. irreflexive and symmetric relations that grant even that a version of PII is saved in the quantum domain. Obviously, such claims go against the currently dominant view according to which quantum entities are completely indiscernible. We shall argue that this approach, grounded in discernibility by weakly discerning relations, by no means settles the debate. We raise difficulties to the approach, and claim that the orthodoxy can be maintained.
